La bordul prototipurilor BMW M Hybrid V8, nume de referință ale scenei de eSports din România au recreat în mediul iRacing ceea ce Philipp Eng, Augusto Farfus și Maxime Martin întâlnesc în campionatul nord-american sancționat de IMSA.

România, referința Europei Centrale și de Est în prima etapă
La finele celor trei zile de competiție, Dragoș Simion a reușit cea mai bună clasare nu doar dintre piloții români, ci din întreaga regiune a Europei Centrale și de Est. În ierarhia europeană, triplul campion Racing League Romania a ocupat poziția a treia, iar în cea mondială a fost al patrulea, devansându-l pe vicecampionul ADAC GT4 Marius Zug. În urma acestuia au încheiat coechipierii săi din clubul West Competition Racing: Victor Nicolae și Andrei Miclea. Cei doi completează nu doar podiumul reprezentanților României, ci monopolizează Top 3 în regiunea CEE. Alți reprezentanți ai ligii naționale de sim racing care au participat la Sebring au fost Milan Bădescu (pilot internațional de karting) și Dan Mihalache, ambii situați așadar în primii 100.
La Sebring, odată ce identifici toate denivelările ce ar putea afecta major echilibrul prototipului, experiența devine foarte plăcută. Timpii de 1:44 pot fi atinși în regim de calificare, însă în cursă e de preferat o setare care să asigure descărcarea progresivă a bateriei pe tot parcursul distanței, nu o mapare agresivă care epuizează întregul supliment în primele tururi. Felicitări învingătorului britanic, a fost de neatins în aceste zile. În urma sa, am avut parte de un duel echilibrat pentru poziția secundă, toți trei din echipă fiind capabili să ne luptăm pentru podium. Urmează mașini și circuite care ne încântă, așa că sunt optimist pentru rundele viitoare.
