Simion a obținut și el prima victorie, ambii reprezentanți al țării noastre fiind pe podiumul CEE și de această dată.
Etapa a patra a reprezentat o altă întoarcere în timp, către BMW M8 GTE, pe traseul austriac de Grand Prix de la Spielberg (Red Bull Ring). În cele trei zile de concurs, Victor Nicolae a mai reușit un succes, ducând totalul României la cota 5 și reușind un nou reper – locul al doilea mondial la finele săptămânii, la doar un punct în urma învingătorului din Spania. În regiunea CEE, Nicolae a prelungit astfel seria de dominație a tricolorilor, fiind urmat îndeaproape de Simion, care a mai contabilizat câteva podiumuri.
Astfel, după o treime de sezon, Simion și Nicolae sunt în cursa pentru titlul BMW M Power Tour: pe 3 și 5 la nivel mondial, respectiv 2 și 4 în Europa. În regiunea CEE cei doi au pus o distanță considerabilă față de orice adversar. Urmează o vizită cu prototipul BMW M Hybrid V8 la Suzuka (9-11 aprilie) și prima întâlnire cu BMW M4 GT3 la Portimao (16-18 aprilie).
