Trei arbitri au fost protagoniștii ultimei săptămâni în fotbalul românesc. Fiecare la nivelul lui. Iulian Călin și Ovidiu Hațegan, prin play-out-ul Superligii. Istvan Kovacs, în sferturile Ligii Campionilor. Toți au ieșit în evidență și nu în sens pozitiv. Din contră, prestațiile lor au ridicat multe semne de întrebare. Mai ales în cazul primilor doi, ale căror decizii au influențat lupta pentru retrogradare.
Călin de la partid
Cu Iulian Călin ne-am obișnuit. Nu este primul meci în care arbitrează slab. Dar este primul care aduce semne de întrebare din cauze politice. Un FC Botoșani – FCU Craiova cu implicații mari în subolul clasamentului. Și cu un arbitru care candidează la primăria uui oraș micuț, Ștefănești. Și un alt candidat, dar la nivel mai mare, la șefia județului Botoșani. Patronul gazdelor, Valeriu Iftime. Ambii propuși de același partid.
Centralul a luat mai multe decizii controversate, Toate în favoarea moldovenilor. Poate că doar a greșit. Dar tabloul nu arată deloc bine. O delegare nefericită și o lacună în regulament. Un simplu enunț care să le comunice arbitrilor ce trebuie să facă dacă se implică în politică. Să renunțe la fotbal. Altfel, seamăna a caz pentru ANI și celebrele conflicte de interese.
Hațegan sau Hoțegan?
Mai grav este însă ce a făcut Ovidiu Hațegan Asta și pentru că de la el aveam pretenții. Dar și pentru că a fost o situația de viață și moarte. La propriu. Centralul a iertat o intrare brutală asupra unui puști de 20 de ani de la Poli Iași. Luca Mihai s-a ales cu mai multe fracturi craniene, după un atac violent al dinamovistului Josue Homawoo.

Inițial, Hațegan a reacționat corect. A chemat ambulanța cu gesturi disperate. Medicii au venit rapid și i-au aplicat masca de oxigen jucătorului accidentat. Efectele atacului agresiv erau evidente. Așa că toată lumea a rămas șocată când centralul a scos doar cartonașul galben. Cu atât mai mult cu cât Hațegan este medic de profesie. Și a trecut și el prin astfel de momente, suferind un infarct la doar 41 de ani.
După o zi, și-a cerut scuze pe site-ul federație. Ne-a transmis că a greșit. Oare? Sau mergem pe mâna președintelui de la Poli Iași, Cornel Șfaițer? Care l-a numit “Hoțegan” și a acuzat o conspirație pentru a scăpa Dinamo de la retrogradare.
Kovacs cel mereu încruntat
În cazul lui Istvan Kovacs, spectacolul a fost la nivel global. Și nu a fost unul plăcut pentru centralul român. A primit de la UEFA șansa de a arbitra un meci de gală. FC Barcelona – PSG, returul din sferturile Ligii Campionilor. A acordat trei cartonașe roșii, toate în tabăra catalanilor. Unul pe teren, două la bancă. Plus un penalty în favoarea francezilor. Toate deciziile acoperite de regulament.
Ce l-a transformat în ținta criticilor spaniolilor a fost atitudinea. Aceeași acuză cu care se confruntă mai mereu și pe plan intern. Rigid, pe alocuri dictatorial, a inflamat mult spiritele. Nu a stat la discuții cu jucătorii, a refuzat să le explice deciziile sale. Nu era obligat, dar asta fac arbitrii cu adevărat mari. Și Pierluigi Collina era dur pe teren. Însă combina severitatea cu un pic de diplomație. Ba chiar și zâmbea câteodată. Încruntat, Kovacs și-a impus autoritatea prin forță. Și nu a câștigat niciun moment respectul celorlalți actori ai partidei.
Iar la final, s-a lăsat greu convins să-i strângă mâna lui Xavi. Poate ar trebui să ia niște cursuri de terapie. Să se relaxeze un pic. Și să-i spună cineva că fotbalul este bucurie și spectacol. Și că are voie să fie uman.
