După ce a obținut prima victorie ca antrenor pe banca Politehnicii Iași, 3-1 cu Voluntari, portughezul Tony da Silva a prins curaj și speră să lege rezultate bune în play-out. Tony, 43 de ani, le-a pus gând rău și foștilor rivali de la Universitatea Cluj, din perioada în care activa ca jucător la CFR.
Iașiul joacă miercuri, 24 aprilie, pe Cluj Arena, contra Universității, echipă pe care a învins-o de două ori în sezonul regular și are nevoie de un nou rezultat favorabil pentru a păstra șanse de salvare directă.
Tony da Silva, înainte de duelul cu Universitatea Cluj: ”E un meci special pentru mine, Clujul este casa mea”
”E un meci special pentru mine. Merg la Cluj, a doua mea casă, oraș în care am trăit niște momente foarte frumoase cu CFR. Jucăm împotriva unei echipe de tradiție, o echipă foarte bună, cu mulți suporteri, pe care o respect. Am jucat la rivala celor de la Universitatea, CFR Cluj, echipă cu care am făcut istorie. Clujul este casa mea, pentru că am fost respectat de toată lumea de acolo, am lăsat foarte mulți prieteni la Cluj și mulți dintre ei țin cu Universitatea. Am respectat întotdeauna Universitatea, tradiția lor, un club foarte iubit. Mergeam acasă la prietenii mei care aveau tricouri și fanioane cu U. Sunt fericit că mă întorc acasă”, a declarat Tony da Silva.
”Domnul Sabău reprezintă Generația de Aur. A făcut istorie în România”
Tehnicianul Iașiului a fost cuvinte de laudă despre actualul antrenor al Universității, Ioan Ovidiu Sabău, despre care a spus că reprezintă Generația de Aur a fotbalului românesc și ca jucător, și ca antrenor.
”Întâlnim o echipă puternică, cu un antrenor foarte bun. Ce să mai spun despre domnul Sabău? Este din Generația de Aur, a făcut istorie în România și ca jucător, și ca antrenor. Dar noi ne gândim doar la noi. Atmosfera este foarte bună după victoria cu Voluntari, băieții știu că fiecare meci al nostru este ca o finală. Toate meciurile sunt echilibrate, dar noi suntem în creștere, iar pentru mine jucătorii mei sunt cei mai buni. Asta le-am spus și lor și acum mergem la Cluj să jucăm o nouă finală cu multă încredere, cu dorință. Știm că va fi greu, dar trebuie să muncim mult, să alergăm de două ori mai mult, să luptăm de două ori mai mult”, a mai spus Tony da Silva.
Shayon Harisson: ”Suntem încrezători după victoria cu Voluntari”
Victoria cu Voluntariul a readus optimismul în vestiarul Politehnicii Iași, care nu mai văzuse bucuria unui succes de două luni. Jucătorii lui Tony sunt încrezători că pot obține o nouă victorie la Cluj, cu Universitatea.
”Venim după o victorie foarte importantă și mergem cu multă încredere la Cluj, să obținem un rezultat bun. Toate meciurile sunt foarte importante pentru noi, dar cel de la Cluj este primul și știm ce trebuie să facem pentru a obține un rezultat bun. Echipa este unită, starea de spirit este bună, așteptăm meciul cu încredere. Chiar dacă avem trei meciuri într-o săptămână avem o echipă puternică, iar jucătorii care vin de pe bancă sunt gata să dea totul pentru a ne atinge obiectivul”, a spune Shayon Harrison, autorul golului 3 din meciul cu FC Voluntari.
Poli Iași nu va conta în meciul cu Universitatea Cluj pe doi titulari. Luca Mihai este accidentat, în timp ce Mihai Bordeianu are o clauză în contract prin care nu are drept de joc împotriva Universității Cluj, echipă de la care a venit în Copou.
Partida Universitatea Cluj – Politehnica Iași, din cadrul etapei a 6-a a play-out-ului, se va disputa miercuri, 24 aprilie, de la ora 16.45, pe ”Cluj Arena”.
Ma bucur sa vad ca Tony da Silva si echipa Politehnica Iasi castiga teren in play-out si sper ca vor reusi sa obtina si o victorie importanta impotriva Universitatii Cluj. Este admirable cum Tony, la doar 43 de ani, si-a castigat prima victorie ca antrenor si acum spera sa aiba rezultate bune in continuare. Interesanta este si rivalitatea pe care o are cu Universitatea Cluj, club la care a activat ca jucator si cu care a facut istorie. Sunt impresionat de felul in care vorbeste despre Cluj, numindu-l „a doua mea casa” si aratandu-si respectul fata de suporteri si jucatorii de la Universitatea. Si faptul ca a vorbit cu atata admiratie despre Ioan Ovidiu Sabau, antrenorul echipei adverse, este demn de remarcat. Voi urmari cu atentie meciul de miercuri si le doresc mult succes echipei Politehnica Iasi in lupta lor pentru salvarea directa.
