Politehnica Iași a confirmat și în derby-ul cu CSM Constanța forma foarte bună din acest start de sezon în Divizia Națională de Seniori la rugby.
După două victorii categorice pe teren propriu cu Alba Iulia și Bârlad, rugbiștii ieșeni s-au impus și la Mangalia, în derby-ul cu puternica formație CSM Constanța, scor 12-10 (12-7), în cadrul etapei a 3-a din DNS.
Echipa pregătită de Cosmin Rațiu, Mihai Stuparu și Ioan Iftode a înscris două eseuri, prin G. Neagu și Evdochimenco, iar Michiduță a reușit o transformare.
De cealaltă parte, punctele ”marinarilor” au fost reușite de Mihai Chirică – 1 eseu și Marian Muntianu – 1 transformare și 1 lovitură de pedeapsă.
Ieșenii au condus la pauză cu 12-7 și s-au apărat foarte bine în repriza secundă, în care deși nu au mai punctat pe tabelă, au încasat doar 3 puncte, astfel că s-au impus cu 12-10.
Astfel, Politehnica Iași conduce în clasament după 3 runde cu 14 puncte.
”O apărare bună și un joc bun au dus la câștigarea meciului. Efort mare și sacrificiu. Au fost extraordinari băieții”, a spus la final antrenorul Cosmin Rațiu.
Formația ieșeană a evoluat în următoarea alcătuire: David, Matei, Cangea – Baboiu, Holbocianu – Budăian, Pânzaru, Arariței – Vaman, Husdup – Evdochimenco, Văcaru (căpitan), Curcan, G. Neagu – Michiduță (au mai jucat Rooke, Stanciuc, Platon, Sidău Moroșan și Deliu; Micu și Sandu au fost rezerve neutilizate).
Sâmbăta viitoare, 27 aprilie, de la ora 11.00, ieșenii vor juca acasă, pe Stadionul Tepro, cu RCM Galați, în cadrul etapei a 4-a a DNS.
