Cupa României la Karting 2024 a deschis stagiunea competițională de karting la Prejmer Raceway, atrăgând un număr de 114 piloți înscriși. Categoriile cele mai populare au fost Senior Rotax și Mini 60, confirmând interesul constant al participanților pentru aceste clase.
Evenimentul a fost marcat de condițiile meteorologice capricioase, care au pus la încercare abilitățile și adaptabilitatea piloților și a mecanicilor. Cu toate acestea, duminica, în ziua finalelor, vremea a fost frumoasă, permițând desfășurarea curselor în condiții optime.
Organizat de Asociația Club Sportiv Skat Kart sub egida Federației Române de Karting, evenimentul a confirmat direcția definită prin alegeri de ordin strategic la nivel federal, arătând progresul constant al kartingului din România în ultimii ani. Transmisiunea live pe platforma YouTube cu comentariul lui Radu Iordache a crescut implicarea celor de acasă, iar atmosfera vibrantă din timpul competiției a consolidat poziția kartingului ca un sport motorizat popular și apreciat în țară.
Un moment remarcabil în cadrul festivității de premiere a fost generozitatea sponsorilor Fuchs Lubricants România și Cube Performance. Aceștia au acordat premii speciale, Cube Performance oferind sesiuni de teste pe circuitul Motorpark Romania cu un prototip Radical SR1. Această acțiune deschide un nou capitol în cariera sportivă a acestor tineri și aduce oportunități noi pentru dezvoltarea lor în motorsport.
După încheierea Cupei României, este momentul ca echipele să analizeze datele colectate pe durata întregului weekend în pregătirea primei etape a Campionatului Național de Karting, care va avea loc la Prejmer Raceway, în perioada 17-19 mai.
