După o pauză de 23 de ani, Iașiul va juca din nou în prima ligă de handbal feminin. CSM Iași 2020 a făcut pasul decisiv spre elită după ce a câștigat meciul din semifinala Turneului Final găzduit chiar de Iași, 25-24 (12-10) cu Activ Prahova Ploiești.
A doua echipă promovată direct este CSM Slatina, 32-22 (17-10) în semifinale cu CSM Deva. Slatina și Iași vor juca în Liga Florilor, iar învinsele CSM Deva și Prahova Ploiești merg la baraj.
CSM Iași 2020, promovare la doi ani de la înființare
Meciul din semifinale dintre CSM Iași 2020 și Prahova Ploiești s-a decis pe final. La 24-24, brazilianca Juliana Borges Lima a recuperat o minge la centrul terenului și a marcat în poarta goală, cu șase secunde înainte de final, golul victoriei și al promovării Iașiului.
Antrenorul Daniel Gheorghe, venit la CSM Iași 2020 în locul lui Marius Dănuleț, în urmă cu două luni, de la CSM Deva, și-a putut stăpâni cu greu emoțiile la final.
”Mulțumesc publicului, pentru că fără suporterii noștri alături nu cred că am fi reușit să reușim această performanță. Mulțumesc și fetelor, care au crezut până în ultima secundă că se poate. A fost un meci echilibrat, între două echipe de valori apropiate, dar șansa a fost astăzi de partea noastră. Felicit și echipa adversă, a făcut un meci foarte bun, o partidă interzisă cardiacilor. Sunt ploieștean, felicit Ploieștiul, dar sunt mândru că am reușit această promovare cu Iașiul. Sperăm ca și în Liga Florilor tribunele să fie la fel de pline la fiecare meci”, a declarat Daniel Gheorghe.
”A fost un meci de care pe care, cu emoții, cu tensiuni, dar ne bucurăm că am ieșit victorioase. Am crezut până la final și nu am cedat”, a punctat și Adina Cârligeanu, aceasta fiind completată de eroina partidei, Juliana Borges Lima: ”A fost un meci incredibil! Am fost o echipă până la final, am fost unite și am crezut în noi până în ultimele secunde. Această promovare este încununarea muncii într-un sezon, am venit la Iași pentru a promova și mă bucur că ne-am îndeplinit obiectivul”.
CSM Slatina, a doua echipă promovată direct în Liga Florilor
CSM Iași 2020 va merge în Liga Florilor braț la braț cu CSM Slatina. Mare favorită a Turneului Final de la Iași, Slatina a trecut cu un categoric 32-22 (17-10) de CSM Deva în meciul decisiv și a revenit în elită după doar un sezon.
Iașiul și Slatina se vor întâlni duminică, în meci direct, pentru stabilirea campioanei competiției de la Iași, iar Deva și Prahova Ploiești vor disputa finala mică, urmând să joace meciuri de baraj pentru promovare cu două formații din prima ligă.
