La puțină vreme după disputarea Cupei României, traseul de la Prejmer a fost și gazda etapei inaugurale a campionatului național.
În ordinea vârstei și, adesea, a vechimii în sfera kartingului, cronica rezultatelor se deschide cu categoria Promo, unde ambele curse i-au revenit lui Iancu Mihail Mănăilă (CS First Kart). El a fost urmat de fiecare dată de Aris Oancea (CSSK) și de ucraineanul Kiryl Rukhlin (Master Kart Racing Team). Și la categoria Pufo, ambele manșe au avut aceeași configurație a podiumului: învingător Dominic Maniga (CSSK), în fața lui David Darie (BRT) și Adam Diaconu (BRT).
Clasa Mini 60 a avut o ierarhie la fel de clar stabilită, cu podium tras la indigo în cele două curse: locul I pentru Robert Pulbere (Gulstar Racing), II pentru Marc Moia (JMS Performance) și III pentru Călin Costea (Gulstar Racing). La OKJ, vicecampionul de anul trecut Alexandru Rad (Drinago Racing) și-a adjudecat etapa, cu o victorie de manșă și un loc trei, în fața lui Bogdan Cosma-Cristofor (Gulstar Racing) și a lui Tudor Jercan (Formula K).
Categoriile cu motorizare Rotax au avut următoarele podiumuri finale:
- Micro Rotax: 1. Șerban Cioc (Quantum Racing), 2. Ayan Florescu (Sibiu Racing Team), 3. Mihai Baboi (Roadrunner);
- Mini Rotax: 1. Matei Popescu (CRG Romania), 2. Ciprian Tudor Ioniță (CRG Romania), 3. Teodora Epuraș (Praga Racing);
- Junior Rotax: 1. Eric Bălan (Formula K RO), 2. Daniil Stoianenko (Time Performance Team), 3. Edward Epuraș (Praga Racing);
- Senior Rotax: 1. Istvan Dezso (7Motorsport), 2. Pablo Czyrt (Formula K RO), 3. Mircea-Marco Pătru (Sibiu Racing Team).
Categoria-regină, KZ2, a stat sub semnul dominației campionului de anul trecut, Darius Lucian Babaioana (Transkart Racing Club). În ambele manșe, el a fost secondat la circa 6 secunde de Milan Degeratu (JMS Performance), iar al treilea în această etapă a fost Darius Cotigă (Gulstar Racing).

Cea de-a doua etapă a Campionatului Național de Karting va avea loc la Târgu Secuiesc, în perioada 14-16 iunie.
