Clubul Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț l-a prezentat oficial pe noul antrenor. Italianul Marco Veronese, 48 de ani, a semnat un contract pe doi ani cu formația nemțeană și va avea ca obiectiv promovarea în sezonul 2025-2026.

”Am urmărit multe meciuri ale echipei Ceahlăul din sezonul precedent. Am remarcat că Liga 2 este un campionat alcătuit din echipei bune, că se practică un joc fizic, dar și că sunt jucători cu calitate. Consider că sunt un antrenor care are capacitatea de a se adapta și-mi doresc ca echipa să transmită o energie pozitivă către suporteri pentru ca cei din tribună să ne sprijine mereu. Suporterii trebuie să vadă că echipa se sacrifică pentru fiecare minge, că joacă bine, că își creează ocazii și că marchează”, a declarat Marco Veronese pentru clubul nemțean.
În vârstă de 48 de ani, Veronese și-a început cariera de antrenor în 2012, la Pavia, unde a activat ca secund până în 2014, an în care a plecat la Monza, tot ca asistent. În sezonul 2015-2016 a lucrat la Cremonese, iar un an mai târziu a fost secundul lui Giovanni de Biasi atât la naționala Albaniei, cât și la formația spaniolă Deportivo Alaves.
Din 2019 până în 2021, Veronese a activat la tineretul Parmei, în următorul sezon i-a pregătit pe juniorii lui FC Torino, după care a ajuns la Triestina.
