Victorie clară în Ștefan cel Mare
După o primă partidă, la Afumați, câștigată la limită, 1-0, CS Afumați a stabilit rapid, în Ștefan cel Mare, destinația calificării. Încă de la capătul primelor 45 de minute echipa antrenată de Vasile Neagu conducea cu un clar 2-0 grație golurilor reușite de Ionuț Zaina și Iamandache. Nu s-a mai întâmplat nimic, ulterior, pe tabela de marcaj, iar CS Afumați se impune, în ambele manșe, fără dubii în drumul spre revenirea în Liga 2.
În eșalonul secund după 6 ani
CS Afumați surprindea acum câțiva ani când se lua decizia de a se renunța la participarea la nivelul eșalonului secund. Rațiuni financiar obligau, la acea vreme, retragerea din eșalonul și abordarea ulterioară la nivelul celui de al treilea eșalon.
